The Trish List - Design Day Friday

Oh hey guys.  Did I mention I did someone's blog design a couple months ago?

Yeah, so, being a designer and all I probably should have been promoting the heck out of that.  But... then again, that's why I split into 2 blogs.

Since this is the non-professional blog, I won't go into the nitty gritty design details.  Just that Trish from The Trish List wanted something bright and fun, while also being a little cleaner and more professional than her previous layout.

She was super awesome to work with and didn't even mind that I was teaching myself on the fly.  And I think we're both pretty happy with how it turned out.

Highlights from this project:
  • Seeing my work actually on the web!
  • Learning.  So much learning.  I can do sticky navs now!  And I'm slightly less terrified of the blogger HTML panel.
  • Them colors!  Trish actually picked them out, so I won't take too much credit, but those social media icons make my eyes happy.

Have you ever had to teach yourself on the go for a project?  What is your favorite part of your job?  Have you ever mess with Blogger's HTML template?  (It's a scary place, it is.)

  1. Love the site you designed, it looks great!!! I used a template for mine...but then did some of my own tweaks to it. Trying to learn that stuff is hard work!

Talk to me! I'm friendly. I won't bite.

P.S. If you use Blogger and you want to get email replies to your comments, use your blogger profile instead of Google+ and make sure the box is checked next to "show my email address."
